Treasury Manager

ROLE OUTLINE:

Typically reporting to the CFO or Financial Controller, the Treasury Manager is responsible for strategically managing the organisation's treasury function and net financial position. Generally found in larger, more geographically spread companies with international trading operations, the Treasury Manager protects the business against currency movements.

TYPICAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To efficiently measure and manage the treasury function, a Treasury Manager manages a team that performs a wide range of job duties and responsibilities. These include but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring and managing the organisation's bank relationships and liquidity management

  • Managing foreign currency exposure and foreign currency payments

  • Analysing various scenarios and risks and reporting to senior management 

  • Forecasting of medium and long- term funding and hedging requirements (if applicable)

  • Daily cash management

  • Cross border foreign currency transactions

  • Debt facilities management

  • Development of risk mitigation strategies

  • Foreign exchange risk management and development of foreign exchange risk mitigation strategies

  • Supporting the month end process where necessary
